The first time I saw that in real life I laughed heartily too. This time I laughed because the cab driver wore a Nationals hat.
ReplyDeleteYup, it's real all right. I used to live there several years ago, and I believe it's short for "Cab Association," or something or other. Doesn't mean it isn't hilarious though.

Yes,the Cab Ass'n is real. They do a remarkably good job with the local color-- Dulles Airport is dead on accurate, which is more than I can say for some Hollywood movies. Chucking shit at the White House will get your ass tackled rather than gently questioned, however.
ReplyDeleteI also love that this contains one of my very favoritest things, people asking questions in Japanese, and getting answers in English. Not even Engrish! I will be rather sad when the show goes back to Japan.
