Man, I dunno. Yuasa is one of those directors I want to like a lot more than I actually do, at least based on Mind Game. Dunno if seeing Kemonozume would change that.
I definitely feel Yuasa is at his best when he's not trying to write a plot. Mind Game makes more sense to me than either of his two series so far, though I still like both.
Of course my misgivings won't apply for this one, given that he's not actually scripting the series and this is an adaption. Going to be a visual knock-out, as expected.

ReplyDeleteKemonozume was definitely great stuff, and a bit more coherent than the completely bizarre stuff like Mind Game.
